On the night of July 26, russian troops carried out a massive ballistic strike on the capital, launching several weapons of mass destruction at the city through the Chernihiv Region. As a result of the fall of debris, fires and destruction broke out in three districts of Kyiv, in particular, an 18-story residential building, a warehouse and more than a dozen cars were on fire. This is reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy attacked the city in two waves, carrying out a second series of launches before the alarm was declared in the capital.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris hit an 18-story building, causing a fire at the level of 7-8 floors, and also engulfed a nearby 4-story detached building in flames. In the Desnianskyi district, a warehouse was completely burned down as a result of falling debris, and a truck and 10 cars burned down in the parking lot. In the Solomianskyi district, a non-residential building was destroyed and caught fire.
Emergency services immediately went to the scene. Currently, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have completely eliminated all the fire centers.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, this shelling was the second ballistic attack on the capital region in recent days. The previous time, on Friday afternoon, the russians struck the territory of a private training ground with an arms exhibition. Then, as a result of the enemy attack, 10 people were killed, about a hundred more were injured, and more than 25 private homes and 44 cars were damaged.
