Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with propagandist Pavel Zarubin, called the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi, a “Nazi,” commenting on remarks he made three years ago about residents of the occupied Donbas.
It was reported by the russian publication The Moscow Times.
“The statements are appalling. This shows, first of all, that he is a Nazi,” Peskov said.
He added that Drapatyi and “those like him” will not allow Kyiv to reach a peaceful settlement, and that the Commander-in-Chief himself “will be held accountable for his words one way or another.”
According to Peskov, Drapatyi’s words confirm that the residents of the Donbas “made the right decision to leave Ukraine” and also justify vladimir putin’s decision to launch a full-scale invasion.
At the same time, he reiterated the claim that Ukraine bears responsibility for the war unleashed by russia.
“And we have all correctly concluded that the special military operation is aimed at ending the war unleashed by the Kyiv regime,” putin’s spokesperson stated.
