On the night of July 24–25, the russian city of Belgorod came under a massive drone attack. Fires broke out in the city at logistics warehouses and energy infrastructure facilities.
It was reported by OSINT channels and local social media groups.
According to preliminary reports, smoke was rising near a power substation on the grounds of the Luch Combined Heat and Power Plant. Russian sources also reported a possible strike on the Yuzhnaya substation, where a fire broke out and heavy smoke filled the air following the attack.
Aleksandr Shuvaev, acting governor of the Belgorod Oblast, confirmed the nighttime attack but did not specify which facilities were damaged.
According to him, damage and fires were reported on the city’s streets, which were extinguished by firefighters. Local residents were urged not to approach windows, to refrain from traveling, and not to go outside unless absolutely necessary.
As the Ukrainian News agency previously reported, in early July, Belgorod had already been subjected to missile attacks. At that time, there were reports of a strike on a local thermal power plant, after which part of the city was left without power.
