Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to visit the United States next week. During the trip, he is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump.
It was reported by Suspilne, citing sources in diplomatic circles.
According to the publication’s sources, Zelenskyy’s visit to the United States is scheduled for July 28.
It is expected that during the trip, the head of state will attend the funeral of US Senator Lindsey Graham and hold a separate meeting with Donald Trump.
Officially, Ukrainian authorities have not yet confirmed either the date of the visit or the upcoming talks between the two presidents.
Earlier, media outlets reported that Volodymyr Zelenskyy was considering a diplomatic trip to the US in late July. It was also noted that, should the president’s plans change, an option was being discussed whereby another high-ranking official could lead the Ukrainian delegation to the US.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on July 22 that he had held talks with US President Donald Trump’s special representatives, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, on how to bring about peace through intensified diplomacy.
