An attack by russian troops damaged a power plant in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district of the Chernihiv Region, and power outages are ongoing.

This was reported by Chernihivoblenerho JSC on the night of July 22.

"Power outage due to enemy attacks. Dear consumers! As a result of an enemy attack, an energy facility in the Novgorod-Siverskyi district was damaged," the message says.

It is indicated that 3,200 consumers were power outages as a result of the russian attack.

It is noted that the energy sector will begin restoration work as soon as the security situation allows.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the meantime, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the military regarding the activity of the aggressor country's army and countering the enemy's plans. Special attention was paid to preparing for various scenarios in the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction.
