Banks earned more than UAH 10 billion in May and UAH 45 billion since beginning of year

Banks earned UAH 10.23 billion in May and UAH 45 billion year-to-date.

This is according to data from the National Bank of Ukraine, as reported by the Ukrainian News agency.

By comparison, in May of last year, the banking system’s profit totaled UAH 12.5 billion and UAH 65.5 billion year-to-date.

Banks’ revenues since the start of this year totaled UAH 269.585 billion, while expenses amounted to UAH 224.585 billion.

Banks’ interest income totaled UAH 196.4 billion, while fee and commission income amounted to UAH 54.9 billion.

Interest expenses totaled UAH 68 billion, while fee and commission expenses amounted to UAH 28.7 billion.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in 2025, banks posted a record profit of UAH 126.8 billion, which is 22% more than in 2024 (UAH 103.7 billion).
