President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that on Monday, July 20, he will hold key discussions with the commanders and chiefs of Ukraine’s defense and security forces to assess the strategy for compelling russia, the aggressor nation, to end the war. The head of state made this announcement during an evening address on Sunday, July 19.
Zelenskyy noted that he continued to consult with experienced Ukrainian military officers who are well-known within the army. According to him, he received briefings from Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Horbatiuk, and Commander of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleh Apostol.












“It is important to assess our future strategy and our proactive actions to compel Russia to end this war with a peace that is dignified for Ukraine and guarantees our security. This involves various components, and I want to hear how the commanders and leaders of Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces view this. Tomorrow, I have key meetings. Ukraine must achieve its goals, and it will,” the President emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a dialogue with former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi amid three days of protests in Ukraine.
