Russia is preparing to mobilize more than 500,000 people this fall. Some of them will be sent directly to the front lines in Ukraine.
Andrii Kovalenko, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, has reported this on Telegram.
“Russia is preparing to mobilize 500,000 people this fall. They plan to throw some into battle within the first two weeks to plug gaps in the east, while others will be trained for a month in preparation for a potential new front. That is Russia’s plan,” Kovalenko said.
He noted that this will be a very intense fall and winter for Ukraine.
Ukrainian soldiers will have to hold their ground in extremely difficult infantry battles, in which people, drones, unmanned combat vehicles, and “other instruments of death” will clash.
