Three oil depots are reportedly on fire in Stavropol, russia, and its surrounding areas following a drone attack. Authorities have declared a local state of emergency, and there have been reports of flammable materials exploding.

The Stavropol authorities reported three fire sites in two industrial zones near the city. According to videos posted by local residents, at least one of the three nearby oil depots is on fire.

According to the publication’s analysis, a Rosneft oil depot is on fire in Vyazniki. Another fire may have broken out at 1 Promyshlennaya Street, where two legal entities are registered: Korona LLC and MK-Nefteprodukt LLC.

The Stavropol oil depot, which is owned by LUKOIL-Yugnefteprodukt LLC, is also likely on fire. This oil terminal’s facilities include 42 storage tanks with a total capacity of approximately 57,600 cubic meters and handle the receipt, storage, and distribution of automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, and lubricants.

Meanwhile, authorities have declared a local state of emergency due to the fire in the industrial zone. The governor of the Stavropol Oblast reported two fire hotspots in the industrial zone of the Vyazniki settlement and a fire in the northern part of the regional capital.

In addition, as the fires continue, the governor warned of “the detonation of flammable materials.”

“Due to the fires at industrial facilities, flammable materials are detonating—the sound can be heard in Stavropol. At this time, there is no threat to the lives or health of residents. In Vyazniki, as a precautionary measure, people from the nearest houses have been evacuated to a safe location. Firefighters continue to battle the blaze,” the governor wrote.

According to local residents, an unpleasant odor can be detected several kilometers away from the fire sites.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor state of russia, 140 drones were allegedly shot down overnight over regions of the russian federation, the temporarily occupied Crimea, and the Azov and Black Seas.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian forces launched 41 missiles and 125 drones at Ukraine throughout the evening and night. The main target of the nighttime attack was Kyiv. Air defense forces shot down a total of 126 targets. A total of 23 missiles and 10 attack drones struck 20 locations.

In Kyiv, strikes and fires were reported in five districts. Specifically, residential buildings, an office building, a dormitory, non-residential buildings, and vehicles were damaged. The enemy killed one person, and another 13 were injured.

Additionally, in the Zaporizhzhia Region, an enemy drone struck a passenger train. An evacuation was announced in advance, and the conductor sustained minor injuries. People will be transported to Zaporizhzhia by bus.
