The Security Service of Ukraine, using the "Mamai" maritime drone, struck a tanker belonging to the so-called "shadow fleet" of the aggressor country, russia. In addition, SSU operators carried out strikes on three oil depots in the Stavropol Krai of the russian federation. The SSU press service reported this today, July 19.

The Ukrainian drone struck the tanker Avero, which was involved in transporting russian crude oil during the oil embargo imposed by the European Union and the G7. Specifically, the vessel was delivering oil to China and India.

The SSU emphasized that the Avero was the fourth Suezmax-class tanker that the agency’s operators had struck in the Black Sea over the past ten days.

Judging by the video released by the SSU, a maritime drone struck the tanker near Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation. The strike hit the stern of the vessel.

Also, overnight, SSU drones attacked three oil depots in the Stavropol Krai of the russian federation. The targets were located about 600 kilometers from the state border. As a result of the strikes, fires broke out at all three oil depots.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, last night, July 18, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces struck another 13 russian vessels in the Azov and Black Seas. In total, 172 vessels have been struck by Ukrainian drones since July 6.

As a reminder, on July 16, a unit of the Ukrainian National Guard destroyed a russian Su-24 bomber at the Saky airfield in the occupied Crimea.
