Russians strike rescuers in Zaporizhzhia extinguishing fire from previous shelling

Today, July 17, russian troops attacked emergency workers extinguishing a fire from previous enemy shelling. The rescuer received shrapnel wounds.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Thus, a russian UAV attacked rescuers while extinguishing a fire in an ecosystem that had arisen as a result of shelling. Thus, the enemy insidiously struck back at the rescuers.

One rescuer received shrapnel wounds. He is currently in the hospital, where he is receiving all the necessary medical care.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, during the russian attack on Odesa on the night of July 17, a volunteer of the Ukrainian Red Cross, Olena Arkhipova, was killed. She was a single mother of three children and joined the organization in 2023 as a first aid instructor.

On the night of July 17, russia launched a combined strike on Ukraine using various types of missiles and 130 strike drones. The most severe consequences of the attack were recorded in Odesa, where two civilians were killed and eight others were injured as a result of the missile strike.
