Jonas Sayed, a Norwegian MP, came to Ternopil by bicycle. The goal of the initiative is to raise funds to purchase a car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ternopil Regional State Administration.

It is noted that Sayed set off from Norway and covered thousands of kilometers by bicycle, traveling through the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltics before reaching Ukraine.

"The peculiarity of this initiative is in the format itself. The volunteer covers the route by bicycle, stops in different cities, communicates with people, talks about Ukraine and attracts new donors. In this way, assistance is formed gradually, but covers a much wider audience," the message says.

The car is needed to perform combat missions, evacuate and provide units on the front line.

"For me, this trip is not just a road, but an opportunity to talk about Ukraine with people in different countries and involve them in support. I deliberately chose the format of a bicycle trip, because it allows me to stop in cities, communicate with communities, politicians, the military and convey the truth about the war and the needs of Ukrainians. I represent the Norwegian Parliament and speak on behalf of my country: we support Ukraine and will continue to do so," Jonas Sayed said.

According to the MP, it was important for him to personally go through this path - to show that "support should be not only at the level of decisions, but also at the level of specific actions".

Jonas Sayed is one of the youngest mayors in the history of Norway in the past, today a member of parliament and an active international partner of Ukraine. This is not the first time he has supported Ukrainians - he previously organized charitable initiatives and participated in the transfer of aid to the military.

Recall that Norway allocates more than USD 300 million to Ukraine for the order of Patriot missiles.
