AMCU allows Varus chain to buy Kolo stores

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) allowed Varus supermarket chain to buy Kolo store chain.

This is stated in the AMCU's message, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, permission was granted to Omega LLC to acquire control over Aritail LLC.

Omega LLC is the operator of the Varus store chain and is owned by businessmen Ruslan Shostak and Valerii Kiptyk.

Currently, the Varus chain has 115 supermarkets in various cities of Ukraine and DarkStore in Kyiv.

The Kolo chain has over 250 retail outlets, located mainly in Kyiv, Kyiv Region and Odesa. The operator of the Kolo chain is Aritail LLC, owned by Hennadii Butkevych, who is a co-owner of the ATB supermarket chain.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 20, 2025, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine granted permission to the co-owner of ATB-Market, Hennadii Butkevych, to acquire one of the largest producers of aerated concrete products in Ukraine, the limited liability company Aerok, confiscated from the russians.
