Russia dropped five air bombs on Sumy, two of them on city center

On the night of July 17, russia attacked Sumy with guided aerial bombs (GABs), causing damage to civilian infrastructure in several areas, including the city center.

This was announced by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to Hryhorov, russian troops dropped five air bombs on the city, damaging civilian infrastructure in several areas.

In particular, two strikes were made on the central part of the city.

In one of the hit points, a non-residential multi-story building was damaged. Hundreds of windows were broken out by the blast wave in surrounding buildings.

At the time of publication, the authorities were clarifying information about the victims and the extent of the destruction.

This is the second attack by GABs on Sumy in three days.

The current strike came two days after a previous russian airstrike.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 15, russian forces also attacked Sumy with guided bombs, killing three people, including a woman selling pies near the city's medical facilities, near which one of the bombs exploded.

Two more men were killed in the same strike. A total of 19 people were injured. Three of the injured were in serious condition, including a 16-year-old teenager.

July 16 was declared a day of mourning in Sumy for the killed.
