Instead of Verkhovna Rada members from the Servant of the People faction, Denys Maslov and Vitalii Bezghin, who were elected from the party’s list and appointed as ministers in the new government, the next candidates in line on the party’s electoral list—academics Bohdan Morklianyk (No. 163 on the list) and Viktoriia Reznikova (No. 165 on the list)—may become members of the Rada. This is evident from the Servant of the People party’s electoral list, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

51-year-old Bohdan Morklianyk is a scientist and educator in the field of engineering and construction, a Doctor of Technical Sciences, and a professor in the Department of Strength of Materials and Structural Mechanics at the Institute of Construction and Engineering Systems of Lviv Polytechnic National University. In December 2018, he was elected to the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA) and serves as its deputy chairman. Since March 2022, he has been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2016 to 2018, he served as an advisor to First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Stepan Kubiv.

Viktoriia Reznikova, 47, is a Doctor of Law, a professor, and the head of the Department of Economic Law and Economic Jurisprudence at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 2025, she became a corresponding member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Scientific and Advisory Council to the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

In addition, on July 16, Mykyta Poturaiev, a Verkhovna Rada member from the Servant of the People faction, announced that he was resigning his seat as a MP; and that Olena Slobodian, the 39-year-old head of the secretariat of Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk, could replace him as a member of the Rada. In 2026, Slobodian was accused of plagiarism in her doctoral dissertation, which she wrote under the academic supervision of her current boss, Ruslan Stefanchuk.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers under the newly appointed Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi; specifically, Maslov became Minister of Justice, and Bezghin became Minister of Communities, Territories, and Internally Displaced Persons.
