On the night of Thursday, July 16, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key military and military-economic targets of the russian occupiers. It was reported in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Specifically, six tankers and two tugboats were struck in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.

“The tankers are used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, as well as to transport fuel for the Russian Federation’s Armed Forces, the military noted.

The Defense Forces also struck the “Shakhtarsk” oil depot in Shakhtarsk, Donetsk Region. The extent of the damage and the results of the strike are being assessed.
