The National Bank's net international reserves rose by 17.5% in June to USD 36.538 billion compared with the previous month.
This is according to data from the National Bank, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Since the beginning of the year, they have decreased by 15.7% from USD 43.327 billion.
Net international reserves are the difference between gross reserves and the outstanding debt of the National Bank and the Ministry of Finance on loans from the International Monetary Fund.
The NBU’s official reserve assets rose by 11.2% in June to USD 50.858 billion, while since the beginning of the year, they have decreased by 11.2% from USD 57.302 billion.
At the same time, gross reserve liabilities decreased by 2.1% in June to USD 14.320 billion, while since the beginning of the year, they have increased by 2.5% from USD 13.975 billion.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the NBU's net international reserves increased by 48.8% in 2025 from USD 29.102 billion.
In 2024, the NBU's net international reserves rose by 2.4% from USD 28.381 billion.
In 2023, they rose by 54.6% from USD 18.322 billion.
In 2022, the NBU's net international reserves decreased by 11.8% from USD 20.767 billion.
In 2021, they increased by 14.6% from USD 18.144 billion to USD 20.767 billion.
