Relay stations in Belarus may be used periodically to launch attacks on Ukraine; a typical example of this is the use of a Shahed drone to attack a gas station in Malyn, Zhytomyr Region. Serhii Beskrestnov (Flash), an advisor to the Minister of Defense, reported this on his Facebook page on Wednesday, July 15.

The jet-powered Shahed, which attacked the gas station in Malyn at 7:11 a.m., flew along the border with Belarus, reached Korosten directly over the highway, after which it turned and flew directly over the railroad tracks to Malyn, where it struck, Beskrestnov noted. According to him, this flight pattern is characteristic of manual drone control via camera.

“It is possible that relay stations in Belarus are still being used from time to time for attacks on Ukraine... The distance from the attack site to the Russian border is 260 kilometers. That is too far for a direct radio link to work. There were no other Shaheds (possible relay stations) in the air at that time. Final conclusions will be drawn by the relevant agencies and units after a detailed analysis of the situation,” wrote the advisor to the Minister of Defense.

Beskrestnov stated that russia, the aggressor country, cannot attack the western part of Ukraine with online-controlled Shaheds without relay stations in Belarus, which can be installed even without the consent of the Belarusian authorities.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the morning of Wednesday, July 15, troops from the aggressor country, the russian federation, attacked a gas station in the Malyn community.
