Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko is the main candidate for the position of Minister of Defense, and Head of the National Police Ivan Vyhivskyi for the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
This was reported by Verkhovna Rada member from the Servant of the People faction Olha Vasylevska-Smahliuk on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The latest news on personnel reshuffles in the government's power bloc is as follows: Ihor Klymenko is the main candidate for the position of Minister of Defense instead of Mykhailo Fedorov. Ivan Vyhivskyi, the current head of the National Police, is being considered as Klymenko's successor as head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," she said.
In addition, according to her, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov is planned to be appointed to the position of Vice Prime Minister.
Regarding the appointment of the First Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Oleksandr Poklad, as the Head of the SSU, according to her data, there are no votes yet.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had offered the current Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko to lead a new direction in relations with a key partner.
On July 13, Svyrydenko resigned, and today the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider her dismissal.
According to the Constitution, the resignation of the Prime Minister entails the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers.
