In Bashkortostan, russia, drones attacked the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat petrochemical complex. Local residents reported a series of explosions, after which a fire broke out on the territory of the plant. The plant is located approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian-controlled section of the state border.
The attack was reported by the russian BBC service and the Telegram channel Exilenova+.
According to eyewitnesses, several explosions were heard in the area of the plant. After that, thick smoke rose above the plant. There is currently no information on the extent of damage or possible casualties.

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of the largest petrochemical complexes in the russian federation. According to the russian publication The Moscow Times, in 2024 the enterprise processed 7.2 million tons of crude oil. This is about 2.7% of the total volume of oil refining in russia.

In September 2025, the plant was hit twice by Ukrainian drones. At that time, a fire was reported at the primary oil refining unit. The head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, stated after the attacks that the enterprise continued to operate as usual.
In addition to Bashkortostan, residents of Gelendzhik, russia, in the Krasnodar Krai, also reported explosions on the morning of July 14. According to them, a large fire also broke out there after the explosions.
