Russia, the aggressor nation, may intensify its attacks on gas stations, post offices, warehouses, and railway facilities. Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Minister of Defense, has reported this.
“The closer we get to potential peace talks, the more the parties are laying the groundwork for them. The war has shifted from frontline combat operations to a phase of diplomatic and military strikes. We are in a better position because Russia is larger than us, has more critical infrastructure that affects the course of the war, and will not be able to ensure their protection even in several years,” he wrote.
According to him, Ukraine is vulnerable because the enemy does not selectively target specific sites on our territory.
“We are generally defending our rear regions from gasoline-powered ‘Shaheds.’ Therefore, we must prepare for the fact that they will attack everything possible up to a depth of 100 kilometers: gas stations, post offices, any warehouses, enterprises, bases for construction and agricultural equipment, railway facilities, highways, and power substations—not just high-capacity ones,” says “Flash.”
He noted that both sides are systematically destroying each other’s infrastructure.
“People are dying in the process. We want to stop all of this, but our enemy does not. He is perfectly content with the situation. (It’s important to understand that we have more than enough resources and motivation to destroy targets on our enemy’s territory,” the minister’s advisor added.
As a reminder, Ukrainian drones struck 90 russian vessels in the Sea of Azov over the course of a week.
