Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has publicly threatened to kill US President Donald Trump. During his statement, he also vowed to avenge the death of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

It was reported by Politico.

On Saturday, Mojtaba Khamenei issued a statement in which he explicitly declared his intention to avenge the death of Ali Khamenei and threatened the US president.

“We pledge to avenge your pure blood and the blood of all the martyrs. This vengeance is what our nation is demanding, and this must definitely be done,” he said.

Mojtaba Khamenei assumed the leadership of Iran’s religious establishment following his father’s death in an Israeli airstrike on February 28.

According to Politico, Iran’s new leader had not appeared in public for several months. Unconfirmed reports circulated in the media that he had suffered severe injuries during the Israeli attack, leaving him disfigured.

What Israeli intelligence learned about a possible assassination attempt on Trump?

The day before, The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that Israel had shared new intelligence with the US. According to Israeli assessments, this intelligence may indicate that Iran is preparing a new plan to assassinate Donald Trump.

Earlier, Bloomberg also reported on concerns among US and Israeli intelligence agencies regarding Tehran’s possible plans to attack the former US president.
