Russia struck Odesa with a ballistic missile on the morning of July 11. According to preliminary reports, two people were killed and one man was injured. A civilian infrastructure facility was hit.
Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, has reported this.
According to him, two people were killed as a result of the attack. A 24-year-old man was also injured, sustaining shrapnel wounds.
Cleanup efforts are ongoing at the site of the strike.
What the Air Forces reported before the strike?
At around 10:45 a.m., the Ukrainian Air Forces reported a threat of ballistic missile strikes from the south and warned of a missile heading toward Odesa.
Shortly thereafter, explosions were heard in the city.
Initially, Serhii Lysak, the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, stated that russian troops had attacked infrastructure and that there were preliminary reports of casualties. Later, Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, clarified that two people had been killed in the strike and another person had been injured.
As a reminder, russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles on the night of July 10. Ten people were injured in the strike, including an 11-year-old boy. Fires broke out in several districts of the capital, damaging residential and non-residential buildings, a railway locomotive, and energy infrastructure facilities.
