President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reached political agreements with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding licenses for the production of Patriot systems in Ukraine. The head of state announced this during a meeting with US Senator Lindsey Graham in Kyiv on Friday, July 10.
Zelenskyy noted that he had a very good and productive meeting with Trump in Ankara. According to him, during his tenth visit to Ukraine, Lindsey Graham paid tribute to Ukrainian soldiers and spoke about the work being done in Congress on a bill imposing sanctions against russia.
“We also discussed the urgent need for air defense systems to protect our people. During the NATO summit in Ankara, the US President and I reached political agreements regarding licenses for the production of Patriot systems in Ukraine. It is very important to implement all of this now at the operational level," the Ukrainian President emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on July 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed strengthening Ukraine’s air defense with US President Donald Trump.
