In half year, imports of goods to Ukraine exceeded exports by over 2 times

In January-June 2026, Ukraine imported goods worth USD 49.3 billion and exported USD 21 billion.

This was announced by the State Customs Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

At the same time, taxed imports amounted to USD 34.6 billion, which is 70% of the total volume of imported goods.

Thus, among the leaders of countries that imported goods to Ukraine: China – USD 13.9 billion, Poland – USD 4.7 billion and Germany – USD 3.2 billion.

Of the total volume of goods imported in January-June 2026, 72% were the following categories of goods:

- machinery, equipment and transport – USD 21.3 billion;

- fuel and energy – USD 7.4 billion;

- chemical industry products – USD 6.9 billion.

Ukraine exported the most to Poland – USD 2.4 billion, Turkey – USD 1.8 billion, Italy – USD 1.3 billion.

The top three most exported goods from Ukraine included:

- food products – USD 12.5 billion;

- metals and products made from them – USD 2.2 billion;

- machinery, equipment and transport – USD 1.8 billion.

The report says that in January-June 2026, during customs clearance of exports of goods for which export duties are established, UAH 802.3 million were paid to the budget.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January-April 2026, Ukraine imported goods worth USD 32.2 billion and exported USD 13.9 billion.

In 2025, Ukraine imported goods worth USD 84.8 billion and exported USD 40.3 billion.
