The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) has recorded the spread of a russian fake on the Internet that the Ukrainian leadership is allegedly "preparing a large-scale terrorist act against its own population to blame russia". This is reported by CCD.

It is noted that this hoax is accompanied by a video clip, stylized under the corporate style of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). However, in fact, there is no such material on the official resources of the analytical center, the video is a fake.

The Center emphasizes that the goal of this campaign is, against the backdrop of massive terrorist attacks by the aggressor country of russia on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, which lead to the destruction of civilian infrastructure and casualties among civilians, to shift responsibility for war crimes to Ukraine itself in advance and divert attention from the actions of the russian army.

"Creating fake videos using the logos of well-known foreign institutions or media is a classic method of operation of the russian disinformation network "Matryoshka", the allegations of which the Center has repeatedly refuted," the report emphasizes.
