Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of the Office of the President, said he would take a more measured approach to the issue of Belarus, since Ukraine does not need another enemy or an expansion of the combat zone. Budanov made this statement in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

The the Head of the Office of the President noted that the self-proclaimed leader of Belarus heeded Ukraine’s warnings and called it “a very wise move.” According to him, Ukraine does not need another enemy.

But in principle, I would take a more measured approach to the issue of Belarus. We don’t need to create another enemy. I don’t mean that we’re escalating anything there ourselves—no. But in principle, having another enemy and another combat zone is definitely not in our interest,” Budanov emphasized.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 24, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the relay stations on Belarusian territory, which the aggressor country russia had been using to direct strikes against Ukraine, had ceased operations and were no longer functioning.
