More than 70,000 square meters of anti-drone defenses installed in Zaporizhzhia - Regional Military Administration

Work is actively underway in Zaporizhzhia to protect the city from russian drones. So far, specialists have installed more than 70,000 square meters of special anti-drone netting. Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, has announced this.

According to him, comprehensive work to install protective nets has been fully completed at five key locations in Zaporizhzhia. The total area of the netting already installed—designed to minimize the threat from enemy UAVs—currently exceeds 70,000 square meters.

The installation of special protective netting throughout the city continues uninterrupted to safeguard critical infrastructure from regular attacks by russian drones.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the head of the criminal police sector was killed when an aerial bomb struck the center of Zaporizhzhia; he had arrived to warn people of a possible strike and evacuate them to shelters.

Meanwhile, overnight, russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and drones, causing widespread destruction in the city. Several districts of Kyiv have reported extensive damage, severe fires, and casualties.

Following the russian strike, residents of the Vyshneve community in the Kyiv Region are being asked not to go outside.
