Zbigniew Bogucki, the Chief of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, stated that he supports Ukrainians in their fight against russian aggression, but will continue to regard the OUN-UPA "criminals who committed a brutal genocide against the civilian population." Bogucki wrote this on his Facebook page on Tuesday, July 7.
A page about Bogucki appeared on the “Myrotvorets” website, where he was labeled an anti-Ukrainian and anti-Polish propagandist. He was also reminded of how he had referred to the western regions of Ukraine as “Eastern Lesser Poland.”
In response, the head of the Polish President’s Office emphasized that he has always supported Ukraine and Ukrainians suffering under the russian horde. He stated that he had coordinated aid for Ukrainian refugees on an unprecedented scale and that, less than two months after the war began, he traveled to Ukraine with friends to deliver humanitarian aid.
“I am therefore not an enemy of Ukraine. Instead, I am an enemy of Banderaism, historical lies, and attempts to silence the victims of Ukrainian chauvinism who lie in mass graves. I am also an enemy of Putin’s Russia. However, to understand this, some people in Ukraine would have to face the truth—both historical and regarding current events—and let go of their anti-Polish sentiments,” Bogucki wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Polish Presidential Spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz criticized Ukraine’s initiative to create a national pantheon.
