Search and rescue operations have been completed in Kyiv at both sites in the Podil and Darnytsia districts. As a result of the massive russian strike on the night of July 6, a total of 19 people were killed in the capital, including 1 child, and 61 others were injured, including 7 children. It was reported by the State Emergency Service on its Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
Emergency response and recovery efforts will continue at these locations.
A total of 394 rescue workers and 95 pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service were involved in addressing the aftermath of the attack. Collapsed structures were dismantled, over 1,500 metric tons of construction debris were removed, and building structures covering a total area of approximately 305 square meters were cleared.
Currently, the dismantling of individual unstable building structures and the removal of construction debris are ongoing.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Monday, July 6, the aggressor country, the russian federation, launched a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and drones, resulting in widespread destruction in the capital.
Air defense forces managed to neutralize 363 aerial targets, but none of the 23 “Iskander-M”/S-400 ballistic missiles or six “Zircon”/“Onyx” hypersonic anti-ship missiles were shot down.
Tuesday, July 7, has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv and the Kyiv Region in memory of the victims of the russian occupiers’ massive attack on the capital.
