Against the backdrop of the gasoline crisis in the aggressor country, russia, a significant decline in dual-use chemical industry products is being recorded. This is also a consequence of Ukrainian long-range strikes. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

The CCD says that according to Rosstat, compared to the same period last year, ammonium nitrate production in the russian federation fell by 9%. In May alone, the decline reached 14% year-on-year, which was the worst indicator since the beginning of the year.

Ammonium nitrate is a dual-purpose product. It is not only an important fertilizer for the russian agricultural industry, but can also be used for the needs of the russian military-industrial complex.

It is noted that the russian federation officially explains the collapse in fertilizer production by "unscheduled repairs" - a euphemism used by russian propaganda to denote the consequences of Ukrainian strikes. It is known that the Azot chemical plant in the Tula Oblast - one of the largest producers of chemical products for the russian military-industrial complex - recently fell under them.

"The decline in production in the russian chemical industry is another evidence of the effectiveness of Ukrainian long-range strikes. And although russian propagandists are trying to pretend that Ukrainian UAVs do not cause significant damage, even official statistics indicate the exact opposite," the Center emphasizes.

Recall that earlier the CCD told how the Kremlin is turning teachers for the TOT into an army of propagandists.
