Defense Intelligence fighters shoot down russian MiG-29 fighter jet in Crimea

On the night of June 25–26, technicians from the Unmanned Systems Department of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed a MiG-29 fighter jet belonging to the aggressor state of russia, which was based at the Belbek airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine posted a video of the incident on Facebook on Saturday, July 4.

At the Belbek airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea, the Defense Intelligence operatives destroyed an enemy MiG-29 fighter jet on the night of June 25–26.

“With a single strike, the Defense Intelligence special forces also destroyed an airfield launch pad—at the time of the strike, the vehicle was servicing a combat aircraft belonging to the Russian occupiers,” the statement said.

As a result of the operation, the aggressor may have suffered losses amounting to tens of millions of dollars.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of July 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck port oil infrastructure in St. Petersburg, russia, and also hit Kronstadt.
