On the evening of July 3, russian forces dropped an aerial bomb on downtown Sumy. Four people were killed in the attack on civilian infrastructure, including a mother and her 5-year-old child. Thirty-three people are reported to have been wounded.
Oleh Hryhorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, has reported this.

A young woman is in extremely critical condition. In addition, doctors at the hospital managed to resuscitate a man who had suffered cardiac arrest, though he remained in critical condition.

It was later reported that the man in critical condition died at the hospital.
“Doctors fought to save his life, but were unable to do so. Four civilians were killed when a Russian aerial bomb struck one of Sumy’s central streets. Another 33 people were injured,” Hryhorov said.

Medical personnel also attempted to save a 5-year-old girl at the site of the russian strike. Unfortunately, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful—the child died. Her mother, a 34-year-old woman, was killed alongside her. The woman’s older daughter is also in the hospital with moderate injuries.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian troops carried out a missile strike on the Odesa Region, resulting in a fire at a food warehouse. Two people were injured.
