In June 2026, the aggressor country russia suffered its heaviest artillery losses since the start of the full-scale invasion. This is stated in a report from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

According to the report, Ukrainian troops destroyed 2,074 russian artillery pieces last month. By comparison, in May, 1,993 enemy artillery pieces were destroyed or put out of commission. This amounts to more than 110 standard artillery divisions.

It is also noted that June saw the highest number of russian vehicles destroyed or disabled—12,878. Meanwhile, in May, 8,612 russian vehicles and tankers were struck.

Statistics on russian military equipment and air defense losses

In addition, in June, the Defense Forces destroyed:

• 103 russian tanks;
• 197 armored combat vehicles;
• 60 air defense systems.

For air defense systems, this is the highest figure in the last two years and the second highest since the start of the war.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Defense Forces struck more than 20 strategic russian targets at distances of up to 2,000 kilometers in June.
