Investments of Ukrainians in government bonds in June reached new historical maximum

In June 2026, the volume of citizens' investments in government domestic loan bonds (OVDPs) reached a new historical maximum.

This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As of June 24, 2026, the portfolio of OVDPs owned by individuals reached a record UAH 153.6 billion - the highest figure in the history of the market.

As of July 1, the volume of public investments amounted to UAH 150 billion, which is 59% more than a year ago and 33.9% more than at the beginning of 2026, and the share of individuals in the structure of OVDPs owners increased from 5.1% to 7.6% over the year.

The portfolio of insurance companies grew by 29.8% over the year (up to UAH 24.6 billion), and that of legal entities by 14.7% (up to UAH 213.4 billion).

Deposits of banking institutions increased by 8.1% year-on-year to UAH 916.3 billion, remaining the largest category of owners with a share of 46.3%.

At the same time, the share of the National Bank of Ukraine in the structure of owners decreased from 36.6% to 33.2% during the year, and the volume of its portfolio decreased by 2.5% to UAH 655.8 billion.

The share of non-residents in the structure of OVDPs owners remains insignificant and amounted to 0.9% as of July 1, 2026 (UAH 17.8 billion) against 1.1% a year ago - the volume of their investments decreased by 10.5% in annual terms, although it increased by 11.7% since the beginning of 2026.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, auctions for placement of OVDP bonds take place every Tuesday.

The face value of one bond is UAH 1,000, USD 1,000 or EUR 1,000.
