The presidential rating in Ukraine is headed by the incumbent President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. If the presidential elections were held next Sunday, 32% of respondents would vote for him. At the same time, the support of the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi has noticeably decreased over the past year.
This is evidenced by the results of the Rating group sociological survey.
According to the study, Valerii Zaluzhnyi is in second place with a result of 16%. In July 2025, he was supported by 25% of respondents, that is, the rating decreased by 9 percentage points over the year.
At the same time, support for Volodymyr Zelenskyy has almost not changed. If last year 31% of respondents were ready to vote for him, now it is 32%.
Third place was taken by the head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov. His support more than doubled - from 5% in July 2025 to 11% in June 2026.
Zelenskyy is ahead of Zaluzhnyi in the simulated second round
Sociologists also studied a possible second round of the presidential election between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
In such a scenario, the results would be distributed as follows:
- Volodymyr Zelenskyy - 42%;
- Valerii Zaluzhnyi - 39%;
- would not participate in the vote - 10%;
- undecided - 9%.
Thus, the incumbent president is ahead of Zaluzhnyi by three percentage points.

Which parties would receive the most support
Sociologists also simulated the results of the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
The most support among the conditional political forces was received by:
- Zaluzhnyi Party - 18%;
- Zelenskyy Bloc - 16%;
- Budanov Party - 12%.

How the survey was conducted
The Rating Group conducted a survey using telephone interviews from May 30 to June 3, 2026. 2,404 adult residents of Ukraine, excluding temporarily occupied territories, participated in the study. The declared statistical error does not exceed 2%.
Recall, the former commander-in-chief and current ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi was summoned to Kyiv in connection with preparations for the resignation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. However, during the meeting, government representatives asked whether Zaluzhnyi would run for president if the elections were held in the fall. He gave an unequivocal answer - "yes."
