Fulfilling the tasks set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy within the framework of the 40-day operation of influence on the russian federation, the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) successfully struck the Saky military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was announced by the SSU, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that the target of the operation was the airfield infrastructure, in particular the hangars with fighter jets.

Five hits by SSU drones on hangars where aviation equipment was stored were confirmed.

According to preliminary information, Su-30 and Su-30SM fighter jets were in two hangars at the time of the strike.

After the attack, a fire was recorded in the hangar where the Su-30SM aircraft was located, which indicates a successful target hit.

The estimated cost of each such aircraft is from USD 30 to USD 50 million, depending on the configuration.

"The SSU is systematically destroying the military potential of the russian occupiers both on the front line and in the enemy's rear. No hangars or shelters will help - the SSU will get the enemy everywhere," the SSU noted.
