The Ukrposhta joint-stock company has signed an agreement with one of the world's largest marketplaces—Etsy, a platform where more than 2 million Ukrainian products are sold for hundreds of millions of dollars.
Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta, announced this on his Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
The post states that following the signing of the agreement, Ukrposhta becomes Etsy’s verified partner worldwide from Ukraine.
This agreement provides two key benefits: specifically, shipping data and labels will now be automatically populated during checkout in the Ukrposhta account and similarly transmitted to Etsy.
Additionally, full IT integration between Ukrposhta and Etsy makes it possible to sell simultaneously to any country in the world, with Ukrposhta handling all customs duty calculations (in the US and the EU) and related matters.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrposhta announced that starting July 1, all 27 EU countries will begin phasing in new rules for processing commercial parcels.
Etsy is a peer-to-peer e-commerce website focused on handmade items, vintage goods and materials, and unique, limited-edition products.
These goods and products fall into a wide range of categories, such as art, photography, clothing, jewelry, food, cosmetics, toys, and other accessories.
