On the night of June 29, following a drone attack on Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories, widespread power outages occurred. Crimea, the occupied part of the Kherson Region, and Donetsk were left without power.
It was reported by local monitoring Telegram channels.
According to eyewitnesses, numerous explosions were heard overnight in Crimea near Sevastopol and Kerch. Preliminary reports indicate that a power substation near the village of Nekrasivka in the Bakhchysarai District was damaged, leaving part of the peninsula without electricity.
A fire also broke out in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol following a drone attack.
Around midnight, power was also cut off in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk.
In the morning, Volodymyr Saldo, the Gauleiter of the occupied part of the Kherson Region, confirmed a large-scale power outage in the region.
“All districts of the Kherson Region are either completely or partially without power,” he said.
As a reminder, British intelligence analyzed Ukrainian strikes on Crimea and identified further targets.
