This week, 46 people died on Ukrainian water bodies, including 19 children. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU).
"Behind these figures are not statistics, but human destinies cut short by a moment of carelessness. Inattention, disregard for safety rules, swimming in dangerous places or lack of supervision of children can lead to irreparable consequences," the message says.
Rescuers emphasized that they work on water bodies every day.
"Remember: safe recreation begins with responsibility. Do not ignore water safety rules. Do not lose vigilance. Take care of yourself and your loved ones. After all, sometimes one minute of carelessness can cost your life," added the SESU.
Recall that in the Zakaprattia, rescuers found the body of a 10-year-old boy in Tysa, who had been searched for more than two days.
In addition, the body of a 13-year-old boy was found in a river in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region.
