Reports that a Belarusian Airlines plane allegedly entered Ukrainian airspace are untrue. According to Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, there was no violation of the state border.

Earlier, attention was drawn online to data from the Flightradar24 service, which showed that a Belarusian Airlines Il-62 cargo plane had allegedly crossed the airspace of the Chernihiv Region, and subsequently headed toward the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.

However, Beskrestnov stated that this information had not been confirmed.

“This information is not true; no Belarusian Airlines aircraft crossed the Ukrainian border. The center received this information from the military, he noted.

According to “Flash,” it is most likely that Flightradar24 experienced a technical glitch or an error in displaying the aircraft’s route.

He also emphasized that the Ukrainian military had verified the information and that no aircraft had entered Ukrainian airspace.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Belarus must halt the expansion of its military infrastructure along the Ukrainian border.
