The Ukrainian analytical project DeepState claims that units of the russian aggressor country’s army have not left the territory of the Kinburn Spit in the Mykolaiv Region, as previously reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is evidenced by a post published on DeepState’s Telegram channel.

"As of today, there is no confirmation of an active Russian withdrawal from the Spit. Moreover, the enemy continues to use the area to launch UAVs toward Mykolaiv and Kherson and possesses other capabilities, such as electronic warfare and radio-electronic reconnaissance,” DeepState analysts stated.

According to them, there is no Ukrainian offensive on the spit, and the Ukrainian flag, which was previously displayed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was raised remotely using a drone.

DeepState noted that there is currently a heated online discussion about the events on the Kinburn Spit, but it is rife with inaccurate information.

The Kinburn Spit is a sandy spit in the northwestern part of the Kinburn Peninsula between the Dnipro-Buh Estuary and the Black Sea. Part of the spit is administratively part of the Mykolaiv Region. The spit was occupied by russian troops at the outset of the full-scale invasion in 2022 and has been under enemy control ever since.

As a reminder, earlier today, June 25, the Regional Command of the “South” Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that fighters from the 801st Separate Unit for Countering Underwater Sabotage Forces and Means had raised the Ukrainian flag on the Kinburn Spit.

As a result of heavy fire, the Southern Defense Forces forced the occupiers to retreat from their positions; the surviving personnel are being evacuated, and the occupiers are abandoning their defensive lines,” the military stated.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in mid-June, Denys Nosikov, the commander of the “Odesa” operational-tactical group of forces, stated in an interview with Channel 24 that the russians were allegedly evacuating their units from the Kinburn Spit.
