Rumors are circulating that immediately after the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026) in Gdańsk (Poland), which is taking place on June 25–26, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba will resign. Verkhovna Rada Member Olha Vasylevska-Smahliuk (Servant of the People faction) has reported this on her Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
“There are persistent rumors that immediately after the URC, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba will submit his resignation,” she said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in June, a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), based on materials from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court seeking to have assets worth nearly UAH 5 million — acquired by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery—Minister of Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba through his sister.
The High Anti-Corruption Court has frozen the assets controlled by Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery Oleksii Kuleba; specifically, the court froze an apartment valued at UAH 4.4 million and a parking space valued at UAH 520,000. The freeze was imposed at the request of prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).
Kuleba, 42, has served as Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery—Minister of Communities and Territories Development—since September 2024. Prior to that, from January 2023, he served as Deputy Head of the Office of the President, and from May 2022 to January 2023, he was Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
