Ukrainian businessman Oleksandr Spektor, co-owner of InvestBud Garant LLC and K.A.N. LLC, has commented on searches previously conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), stating that he rejects any allegations of assisting sanctioned individuals or pro-Russian forces. According to Spektor, companies in which he is a co-owner have paid more than UAH 813 million in taxes during Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.
According to Spektor, the searches carried out on June 2, 2026, were based on an investigative theory alleging that he had assisted a pro-Russian figure in evading sanctions.
"I reject any potential accusations of committing criminal offenses. I have never had any connection to pro-Russian forces, including Viktor Medvedchuk, or any individuals engaged in activities that undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and statehood," the businessman said.
He also emphasized that he has never had any joint business projects or financial ties with representatives of pro-Russian groups.
"I have never had any joint business projects or financial ties with representatives of pro-Russian forces, nor have I ever supported them in their unlawful activities," Spektor said.
The businessman also commented on the operations of companies in which he is a co-owner. According to him, all revenue generated by InvestBud Garant LLC is used to cover expenses related to the operation and maintenance of Blockbuster Mall.
"Blockbuster Mall itself does not generate profit and does not pay dividends. Therefore, financing any individuals through the operation of this shopping mall is impossible," he said.
According to Spektor, InvestBud Garant LLC paid more than UAH 332 million in taxes to the state budget between March 2022 and June 2026.
At the same time, K.A.N. LLC, which manages the Senator business center in Kyiv, has a transparent corporate structure and has never undertaken any actions in the interests of sanctioned individuals, he said.
"From 2021 through June 2026, K.A.N. LLC paid more than UAH 481 million in taxes and has never helped any sanctioned individuals circumvent financial restrictions," Spektor noted.
Spektor also stressed that his companies have supported Ukrainian military personnel since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
"Since the start of the full-scale invasion, my companies have regularly transferred funds to official accounts of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, while also purchasing and supplying equipment and gear to individual military units," the businessman said.
He further stated that he continues to work and invest in Ukraine.
