The Cabinet of Ministers plans to increase the minimum wage to UAH 9,546 from January 2027.

This is stated in the Budget Declaration for 2027-2029, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 793 of June 17, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In particular, it is noted that in accordance with the Law "On Remuneration", the minimum wage is a basic social guarantee that determines the guaranteed minimum wage.

Thus, the minimum wage is projected to be UAH 9,546 from January 1, 2027; the official salary of an employee of the 1st tariff category of the Unified Tariff Scale is UAH 3,819.

At the same time, the subsistence minimum in 2027 will be UAH 3,559, for able-bodied persons - UAH 3,691, for persons who have lost their ability to work (minimum pension) - UAH 2,878.

At the same time, the declaration notes that the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers will direct efforts to improve the conditions of remuneration of budget employees, in particular by "decoupling" the sizes of official salaries from the sizes of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons.

The declaration also notes that, realizing the need to support the most vulnerable citizens, as well as preventing the passive adaptation of social policy to the limited financial capabilities of the state, the main priority of social policy in the medium term is to support citizens in overcoming difficult life circumstances while maintaining targeted approaches and measures to resolve them, which will be implemented by continuing comprehensive reforms in the social sphere and verifying state payments.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the state budget for 2026, from January 1, 2026, the minimum wage is set at UAH 8,647 per month; hourly rate - UAH 52.
