The current World Cup was Messi's sixth in his career. He played in the World Cup for the first time in 2005 in Germany.

After setting the record, Google congratulated the footballer. You can see the congratulations if you enter the word "Messi" in the search bar.

As a reminder, the Argentine streaming channel Luzu TV found itself at the center of a scandal after its host Florencia Peña announced during a live broadcast the alleged death of football player Lionel Messi's father, Jorge Messi.
