The vast majority of drones supplied to the Defense Forces by the Defense Procurement Agency and the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) are manufactured in Ukraine. Domestic UAVs currently account for 95% of defense procurement, according to the Ministry of Defense’s press service.

The trend of drone system procurements exceeding ammunition procurements has continued since last year. The launch of the DOT-Chain Defence military marketplace has contributed significantly to the development and expansion of the domestic drone market. This system allows combat brigades to independently select the necessary equipment, which stimulates competition and improves the quality of products from Ukrainian manufacturers.

In total, in just under five months of 2026, Ukrainian defenders have already received 485,000 UAVs and other equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence platform. The total value of the delivered equipment amounts to UAH 31.4 billion. In addition, thanks to the platform’s integration with Brave1 Market, service members can order additional drones using e-points as part of the Army of Drones bonus program.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia continues to rapidly ramp up drone production, while growth rates in other sectors of the defense industry are gradually slowing down. Drones, in particular, are becoming one of the main areas of development for the russian military-industrial complex.
