The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a space communications center in the moscow oblast. It was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
"On June 21 and during the night of June 22, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck targets belonging to the Russian aggressor. Specifically, the 'Dubna' Space Communications Center in the Moscow Oblast was struck. Extensive smoke is visible at the facility. The extent of the enemy’s losses is being assessed,” the statement reads.
The "Dubna" Space Communications Center (SCC) in the moscow oblast is the largest satellite communications station in russia, functioning as one of the five key teleports of the state-owned enterprise Kosmicheskaya Svyaz; and the facility is of significant strategic importance for the russian federation’s telecommunications and satellite broadcasting.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a training ground for UAV operators near Debaltseve in the Luhansk Region, as well as UAV command posts in the areas of Myrnohrad and Perebudova of the Donetsk Region.
In addition, enemy command and observation posts were struck in the area of Ilok-Penkovka of the Belgorod Oblast (russian federation) and in the area of Pokrovsk of the Donetsk Region.
A road bridge near Vasylivka in the Zaporizhzhia Region, used to transport troops and support the russian occupation army, was also struck.
Based on the results of additional data analysis, it has been confirmed that on June 21, infrastructure at the Kavkaz port in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation and two car ferries were struck; these facilities are used to support russian occupying forces in the southern regions of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of June 22, moscow came under a massive drone attack. According to russian authorities, air defense forces allegedly destroyed nearly 60 drones heading toward the russian capital.
Earlier, residents of the moscow oblast reported "oil rain" after a drone attack on the moscow Oil Refinery.
