Official Kremlin representatives Sergey Lavrov and Dmitry Peskov acknowledged the successful strikes by Ukrainian drones on the prestigious Moscow City complex. The russian authorities immediately began to use this incident to justify new massive attacks on Ukraine.

This was reported by analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

As analysts note, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov and russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov publicly acknowledged the fact of the attack on the russian capital. At the same time, representatives of the putin regime tried to assure their own population of the effectiveness of their air defense.

In particular, Peskov issued a cynical statement that russian air defenses are working well, "no matter what," hinting at the significant number of Ukrainian UAVs that were able to break through to Moscow.

Such rhetoric is used solely to create the necessary information conditions in russian society. The russian leadership openly manipulates facts to justify the planned destructive packages of strikes on Ukrainian cities.

The Kremlin seeks to present its upcoming attacks as "acts of retaliation," although in fact the russian military had significantly intensified air terror long before the events in Moscow.

The strikes on Moscow provoked serious disappointment among russian ultranationalists and so-called milbloggers. They began to massively accuse ordinary russian citizens who posted videos of the arrivals and their consequences online, thereby allegedly undermining russia's operational security.

In addition, russian military leaders have sharply criticized the russian military command for failures in the defense of the capital. The occupiers are dissatisfied with the fact that russia does not invest in air defense systems to combat small targets, such as drones. Against this background, Z-patriots are calling on the Kremlin to attract even more resources to the war and demand to wipe Ukrainian cities off the face of the earth. According to the plan of the russian radicals, regular large-scale shelling should provoke a mass exodus of civilians from large Ukrainian cities.
