Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the decision of Polish President Karol Nawrocki to deprive Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle, saying that it pleases putin and shocks allies.

This is stated in Tusk's post on his official page on the X social network.

"The conflict between Poland and Ukraine pleases putin and shocks our allies. The task of Presidents Zelenskyy and Nawrocki is to calm passions, not inflame tensions. The front line lies elsewhere," the Polish Prime Minister stated.

According to the Polish Constitution, if the Prime Minister does not sign (countersign) the President's decision to deprive of the Order of the White Eagle, it will not gain legal force.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki has decided to deprive President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy of the Order of the White Eagle.

Subsequently, according to our agency, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that he was refusing the Commander's Cross with the Star of the Order "For Merit to Poland", which he was awarded in October 2022.
